Adobe Acrobat DC Upgrades Are Coming

July 14, 2017

Due to some security issues with Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and earlier, it has become necessary to upgrade Acrobat to the DC version on all HSU computers. Some of you may have already updated. That's great! If you want to do your own upgrade right away, that's great too. Just go to Software Center (PC) or Self Service (MAC) and choose to install Acrobat DC. It will uninstall the old version and install the new version.

Starting Monday 7/17 at 7:30 PM we will start pushing the update to computers that have not upgraded yet. The process will continue over the following weeks until we get everybody updated.

What will change?

Most users will not see any major changes. Users that just use it to view files will hardly notice a difference. If you work with forms, the user interface has changed quite a bit. Either way there are Skillport classes that can help you navigate the new look and feel of Acrobat DC. They are each about 60 minutes long. You might even learn how to do some things you didn't know you could. :-)

One issue we have run into is users that have custom signatures for signing forms. We will need to configure your signature again in the new version.

If you need any additional assistance, contact the helpdesk (convenient link below) and we will get you some help as quickly as possible. We have tried to configure this update process to cause the minimal amount of disruption to your work environment. Please don't hesitate to let us know of any issues you have.
