The Center for Community Based Learning (formerly the Center for Service Learning and Academic internships), like many State of California and CSU departments, has been evaluating how our activities and resources align with our core mission in an effort to focus our expertise and resources where they are needed, and matter the most. As a result, we determined that the Day of Caring was no longer feasible for us to coordinate, and therefore, decided to cancel the annual Day of Caring, effective immediately. 

This has been a difficult decision to make as we recognize the value of this longstanding program for students and community partners. The loss of this opportunity for students and the community is regrettable and will no doubt be felt. However, for our office to offer the services we have been commissioned to provide, it is important for us to focus our resources on our core mission, and as a result let go of endeavors that lay outside that mission.
