Call for Nominations: 2019 HSU Sustainability Champion Awards

March 20, 2019

HSU is accepting nominations for its third annual Sustainability Champion Awards program, to recognize individuals whose practices have deepened a culture of sustainability, have furthered the integration of sustainability into academics, student life or campus culture, and/or reduced HSU's environmental footprint. Complete the form below by Monday, April 8, 2019, to nominate a student, staff or faculty member for an award. Winners and their nominators will be notified by Friday, April 12, 2019.

The award is open to students, staff, and faculty who have worked to advance sustainability. Individuals may not nominate themselves. Any student is eligible; however, those faculty and staff members with sustainability in their job title, or as an obligatory aspect of their job, are not eligible for the award.

The Award Selection Committee will choose up to three candidates who embody the spirit of innovation, collaboration, and leadership as they work to establish solutions to pressing challenges facing the campus and society. Each Sustainability Champion will receive:

  • A Sustainability Champion trophy
  • A gift card
  • Feature profile in campus publications

The awards will be presented in front of a campus audience at the Annual Earth Week Banquet and Awards Ceremony, taking place on Monday, April 22 in the Kate Buchanan Room.
