Canvas and Moodle Course Requests for Spring 2017
The Canvas route
We already have almost a semester of successful Canvas course use under our belts, so we encourage those of you who have not yet jumped on the Canvas bandwagon to get on board and teach your Spring 2017 courses in Canvas. We've made it as easy and accessible as possible to help you get started:
- The Spring 2017 Canvas Course Request Form is now available at https://apex.humboldt.edu/ords/f?p=115:4::::::
- We've added a very visible Access Your Canvas Courses button on the Canvas Migration website
- The Canvas Migration website is now listed on the humboldt.edu A to Z directory
- Plans are in progress to add a Canvas button to MyHumboldt for Spring 2017
- We have plenty of training sessions to choose from on the Training calendar
There's always phone support available at 844-334-0177 to help guide you through the process.
The Moodle route

- To request a new course shell (no course content copied from previous term), go to the New Course Request Form. Log in at the top of the page and have your Spring 2017 CRN ready to enter.
- To request a META course shell (a course shell that holds two or more classes), go to the Create/Copy META course. Log in at the top of the page and have your Spring 2017 CRNs ready to enter
Please don't hesitate to call us at x3633 or submit a Help Desk ticket if you have any questions or concerns. It's in everyone's best interests - including your students' - to have your courses in place in good time before the start of the Spring semester.
