POSTER ABSTRACTS:

CSUPERB is pleased to invite poster abstract submissions for the 29th Annual CSU Biotechnology Symposium (January 5-7, 2017).  Abstracts can be submitted electronically; see http://www.csuperb.org/symposium/poster-info/ for more information, including complete submission requirements and review guidelines.

In addition to biotechnology research results, CSUPERB encourages administrators, staff and faculty involved in biotechnology-related educational programs and education research, including STEM teacher education, Professional Science Masters, Bridges to Stem Cell Research, and entrepreneurship programs, as well as shared research facilities, to submit programmatic abstracts.  CSUPERB has a strong interest in sharing best practices in curriculum and program development, lessons learned in assessment and student outcomes data, and innovative ideas related to biotechnology teaching practices.

Poster Submission Information

• Poster board sizes will be 3' wide by 3.75' tall.  Your poster may be any size equal to or smaller than these dimensions.

• A faculty-led group can submit up to 10 poster abstracts.

• NEW THIS YEAR:  CSUPERB will accept a maximum of 3 (reduction from 4 last year) submitted poster abstracts for presentation for each faculty-led group.

• CSUPERB will reimburse transportation expenses (up to $150) for no more than 5 poster presenting CSU students from one faculty-led group. (Details on Registration page, linkhere).

• Submitted poster abstracts can select a maximum of 2 presenting authors per poster.

• Submitted poster abstracts must include a CSU author.

SYMPOSIUM AWARDS:

CSUPERB is pleased to invite nominations for the five different CSU Biotechnology Symposium Award programs: Nagel, Eden, Pauling, Andreoli and Faculty Research.  For more information and past awardee lists, see http://www.csuperb.org/symposium/awards/

Award recipients will be announced and recognized at the Symposium in Santa Clara, California.

Nominations for Eden and Nagel student awards are made as part of the poster abstract submission process.  The Andreoli Faculty Service, Faculty Research and Pauling Student Teaching awards nominations are made through their own separate submission system.  The Pauling awards to not require a research poster presentation.

Please take the time to nominate outstanding biotechnology faculty and students who deserve system-wide recognition and appreciation.
