DARS Degree Planner Available Now

August 21, 2017

The long wait is over. Students can now plan out their four-year path to graduation using the new DARS Degree Planner.

The Degree Planner works with the DARS you already know and is easily accessed via the Plans link in the top toolbar of the DARS audit screen. By dragging and dropping courses from a student's DARS audit on the left into the Plan term year on the right, students and advisors can build a four-year plan in minutes!

When students plan their preferred (or “starred”) path to graduation in the DARS Degree Planner, they provide critical information that enables HSU to change course scheduling that affects the GI2025 graduation initiative. When students tell HSU what courses they need to graduate in four years, the university can work toward meeting the student course demand.

While DARS Degree Planner is easy to use and understand, additional training sessions for faculty and staff are being scheduled in the Gist Hall 211C lab in September – see attached flyer for more details. Places are limited, so sign up early!

If you have questions about the DARS Degree Planner or would like a customized training session for your department or office, please send email to udirect@humboldt.edu.
