EDUROAM IS FINALLY COMING TO HSU!

November 17, 2015

After a couple of false starts, ITS is pleased to announce that Eduroam (educational roaming) is finally being deployed at HSU. It’s a secure wireless network that’s been developed specifically for the education and research communities.

If you’re going to be on an eduroam-enabled campus in the US during the Thanksgiving break, why not give it a try? Once you’re on campus, your device should pick up on the existence of the eduroam network, so go ahead and log in!

When you return to campus after Thanksgiving, the network will be fully operational here for campus users and visitors. Those from eduroam-enabled campuses will no longer have to go through the guest network registration process but will instead have immediate and automatic access to the HSU guest network.

It’s also an exciting option for study-abroad students, who will now be able to join an eduroam hotspot without any hassle or data roaming charges anywhere in the world where there’s an eduroam-enabled campus.
