I am pleased to announce that Dr. W. Wayne Brumfield has agreed to continue serving as the Interim Vice President for Student Affairs for AY 2018-19.  His strong communication skills, his commitment to student success, his experience in crisis management, and his focus on collaboration and cooperation have been very beneficial to HSU in the short time he has been here.  He has already built significant connections with the local community, and he has focused on issues of student safety.  I am personally grateful for his insightful and wise advice.

A national search for a Vice President for Student Affairs will begin in fall 2018, and Wayne will assist in that process.  Because he comes to us through the Registry, he will not be eligible to be a candidate in the search himself.
