The computers in interdisciplinary and other labs, as well as other shared facilities, are frequently upgraded to ensure they're always in tip-top working condition and as secure as possible. This means those computers are also frequently rebooted, which can mean lost files if those files are being saved locally.

Remind students to always (and often) save their work on lab computers to Google Drive, their network folder, or a removable USB drive. It could save a great deal of pain later.
