Final Reminder for Benefits Open Enrollment

To: Benefit Eligible Employees

The CSU annual Open Enrollment period will occur September 11, 2017 through October 6, 2017. Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to review and update your current benefits for the upcoming year. You can enroll, change, or cancel CalPERS health, dental, vision, Flexcash, Dependent Care Reimbursement (DCRA), Health Care Reimbursement (HCRA) or voluntary benefits plans. The effective date for all changes/enrollments made during the Open Enrollment period will be January 1, 2018.

For 2018, we are pleased to announce that the premiums for most medical plans will be decreasing. Please carefully review the 2018 Health Premium Rate Sheet. The level of coverage for both Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plans, benefits and network providers in Humboldt County are the same, and are facilitated through the Independent Practice Association (IPA) in Eureka; the Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans are administered directly by Anthem Blue Cross.

CSU benefit eligible employees now have the option to enroll into the VSP Premier Plan, which offers a higher allowance for frames and contacts, new glasses or contacts every calendar year, and more! We are also happy to announce that you now have online access to your benefit enrollment information through your MyHumboldt Portal! You can now review your health enrollments from anywhere, 24/7. Learn more about how to find your Benefits Summary here.

All open enrollment forms with original signatures must be hand-delivered to the Human Resources office, Siemens Hall, Room 212, by 5:00 p.m., Friday,
