GEOG 352 Regional Climatology

Explore the atmospheric and oceanic processes that determine patterns of temperature and precipitation, including extreme weather events. The course introduces current climate regimes, changes on geologic and historical time scales, as well as predictions for the future. Of special interest are climatic influences on landscapes and livelihoods.

Class format is lecture with regular discussion of readings, student presentations of scholarly articles, and in-class exercises. The 1-credit depth experience (352M) involves hands-on data collection and interpretation.
