How to Keep your Team Focused - New Session Date

March 3, 2015

Do your team meetings wander off-topic? Does your agenda get hijacked by other team members? Do you need to create plans that produce outcomes and keep your meetings focused? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you need this session!

Join Phil Rouse, Quality Improvement Analyst, on Friday March 20th at 11am in Gist Hall 211C to learn more about the A3 problem-solving template and how it can help you keep your teams on the same page. You’ll learn how to concisely capture the information you need onto a single sheet of paper that will enable you to plan and drive meetings forward in a productive and focused way.

The one-hour session will cover:

  • Background – establishing the context of a specific problem
  • Current condition – what is it and how did it arise?
  • Target condition – where do we want to be?
  • Root cause analysis – where did the breakdown occur and why?
  • Counter measures – how could we do this differently?
  • Plan of action – how will we do this differently?
  • Follow-up – did the different approach work?

By using the problem-solving template and encouraging measurement, problems can be precisely defined, dissected, and resolved.
