HSU Cares: Statewide "Our Promise" Campaign and Donor Workshops

This month, Humboldt State University is celebrating the many ways in which “HSU Cares."
This week focuses on community-oriented giving and celebrates the inspirational stories of staff and faculty who choose to support local and global causes.
This week you will receive your State Employee’s “Our Promise” campaign form. This campaign has been on-going since 1957 and helps provide millions of dollars to charities around the state.
Consider using this week’s “Our Promise” campaign as a vehicle for reaching out and supporting causes in our community—and beyond. The “Our Promise” campaign allows you to connect with a wide range of charities, and you can easily give through payroll deduction.
Whether or not you participate in the “Our Promise” campaign, please share how you are giving in the community. Use the form from last week’s “HSU Cares” letter, or simply write to giving@humboldt.edu. Share why you give and why it’s important to you!
You can designate your donation by writing in the name of the specific program that you’d like to support. This can be done in section 9 of the pledge form. You can choose to contribute through our payroll deduction program or make a donation by check. Many of you already give generously in our community, but if you’ve yet to contribute, consider making a gift this year.
Please return your form to NHW 201 by Oct. 30 to participate in this year's campaign. For more information and a full list of participating organizations please go to ourpromiseca.org.
