Incoming President Rossbacher to Visit Campus, April 3-4

Lisa A. Rossbacher, who was recently selected to become the next President of Humboldt State University, will make a brief campus visit April 3-4. 
 
Her visit will include an open reception for faculty and staff at 9 a.m., Friday, April 4 in the Great Hall at College Creek Apartments. An open reception for students follows at 10 a.m. in the Great Hall.
 
In addition, Dr. Rossbacher’s schedule includes meetings with small groups from each of the Colleges, the Associated Students, and the campus Executive Committee. She will also take a student-led tour of campus.
 
Dr. Rossbacher is currently serving as president at Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, Ga. She will succeed Rollin C. Richmond, who is retiring at the end of the academic year after 12 years as president of HSU. She will be the university’s seventh president, and the first woman to serve as president, in its 100-year history. 
 
She begins her new position in July.
