Klamath Dam Removal Discussion ~ March 25

March 11, 2016

Friends of the Klamath Connection Program,

We are pleased to invite you to a very special event.

If you have been following issues surrounding Klamath River dam removal, you are aware that despite the recent expiration of the KBRA, many of the stakeholders have come together to work out an alternative plan.

An update on these negotiations and open discussion will be hosted by Frankie Meyers, Yurok Tribal Member and Klamath Justice Coalition Representative, Molli Meyers, Karuk Tribal Member and Klamath Justice Coalition Representative,  and Craig Tucker, Karuk Tribe Natural Resources Policy Advocate Friday, March 25th 6-8pm in the Native American Forum. A light reception will follow.

Earlier that same day, Book of the Year, Native American Studies, and Klamath Connection will host a viewing of the film A River Between Us 12-1:30 Friday March 25th in the Library Fishbowl. If you can't make the campus movie showing, it is available through Netflix.

This is a great opportunity for the KC community to connect, learn, and discuss this historic time in river restoration.  We hope you can join us.

Matt and Amy
