Lamberson Lecture Ecology Series ~ March 13

Please join us for this year's Lamberson Ecology Lecture with guest speaker Dr. Wayne Getz, UC Berkeley, on Thursday, March 13. Dr. Getz will deliver two presentations.

The technical talk with begin at 4 pm in the Native American Forum (BSS 162) and is titled,

"A Computational Population Modeling Platform for Linking the Inner and

Outer World of Organisms."

Dr. Getz will discuss the development of a new software platform, called NOVA, for building CPMs, as well as the need for a cultural shift in the way population biologists communicate and share models.

The general talk with begin at 7 pm in the Native American Forum and is titled,

"Blind Servants and the Elephant: What does this Buddhist parable tell us about the

study of environmentally mediated disease."
