Greetings Faculty!
We invite you to join us for our monthly Learning and Teaching Luncheon, a supportive space for faculty to discuss, share, and apply learning and teaching ideas, concepts, and practices in support of student success. We will discuss topics such as course design, course facilitation, creating effective learning environments, and applying best practices in our new learning management system, Canvas. The first luncheon will take place on Friday, September 2, 12:00-1:00pm, in the Library Fishbowl (LIB 209). We will provide lunch for you! Join your colleagues and learn about the following:

1. Overview of HSU's new Learning and Teaching Center

2. Overview of the transition to Canvas

3. Feedback from you: What do you want to learn more about? What are you excited about? What ideas, strategies or experiences would you like to share with others?

4. Field trip to Library 3rd floor -  New home for the HSU Learning and Teaching Center

Please note that these luncheons are focused on discussions and sharing, and are separate from the focused Canvas trainings that will be offered October - December.  You can learn more about Canvas Trainings on our Canvas Migration Website (this page will be updated soon!)

You are welcome to attend any or all of the above sessions; topics will be announced in advance based on your feedback/requests. You don’t have to sign-up in advance, you can just drop by! However if you plan to join us for lunch, please RSVP with the link above.
