New Emergency Notification Software

Alertus Emergency Notification software will be installed on all HSU-owned Windows and Mac computers, including laptops and lab and classroom computers, next week. The Alertus desktop application will enhance the University's communication capabilities during future emergencies by displaying timely alert messages on all campus-owned computers.

Once the software has been installed, users will see a new icon appear in the "hidden icons" toolbar. The Campus Emergency Response Team will confirm the successful deployment and installation of the Alertus Emergency Notification Software by issuing a test alert during the last week of March and will deploy genuine alerts in future campus emergencies that require notifications to be issued.
