"RooTalks" @ HSU an Open Forum ~ February 27

February 3, 2017
Roosevelt@HSU, a chapter of the Roosevelt Institute, along with HSU Democrats is hosting an open forum. If you are not familiar with the Roosevelt Institute, then it is a national non-partisan organization but it does revolve around progressive thinking.

I believe that especially in this time the people need to have a voice. So, come and share how you already are, or would like to, organize and plan for your (and our) community's future.

We feel as though we are keeping our topic broad enough that it will be able to reach multiple demographics. We would like to hear from all walks of society: young, old, black, hispanic, a group, or even a single person with a hope.

TOPICS THAT INSPIRE MEANINGFUL CHANGE IN OUR COMMUNITIES AND AROUND THE WORLD

The specifics we ask are that "Your presentation should involve our main theme: making people feel like they should have hope for the future and can get involved in creating change that can better communities around the world. We would prefer if you start local as that doesn't seem too overwhelming for people, but we will not hinder you from speaking larger if it is a good topic that fits local ideas."

Most importantly, everyone note that this WILL be a safe place to speak and WILL be respectful.
