Last year, we introduced Account Settings as the place to go to manage your HSU User Name and Password. Effective July 28, 2016 at 7:00 a.m., Account Settings has taken over all the “behind-the-scenes” work on identity management – key tasks like making sure you can log into a computer and use email when you become part of the university community, and turning those functions off when you leave.

While most of this work happens in the background, you will see differences when accessing any of the following functions:

• Email Aliases. You can set up to two additional email aliases in Account Settings. More info at https://www.humboldt.edu/its/email-aliases-employees.
• Guest Accounts.  Go to https://www.humboldt.edu/its/guest-accounts for instructions on how to set up guest accounts for open access computer labs and/or the Guest wireless network. This is most appropriate for conference and other group accounts where one set of login credentials can be used by multiple individuals. For individual registration on the HSUGuest wireless network, we recommend https://www2.humboldt.edu/its/services/wireless-connectivity-guests.
• Network Folders. You can request additional network folder or U: drive storage space (quota) in Account Settings. More info at https://www.humboldt.edu/its/folders-account-quota
• Personal Websites. You can activate your personal website, Google Sites site, or Blogger site via Account Settings. First complete the ATI survey, then go to the My Profile tab in Account Settings to select a web alias. More info at https://www.humboldt.edu/its/web-users-activate.
• Official Websites. You can request official HSU websites, and add developers to those sites, via the Requests tab in Account Settings.

Note that your Google Calendar will automatically be populated with Faculty and Student class schedules.
