SAYING FAREWELL TO ACCOUNT CENTER

July 18, 2016

Last year, we introduced Account Settings as the place to go to manage your HSU User Name and Password. In the next few weeks, Account Settings will take over all the “behind-the-scenes” work on identity management – key tasks like making sure you can log into a computer and use email when you become part of the university community, and turning those functions off when you leave.

While most of this work will happen in the background, you will see differences when accessing any of the following functions:

  • Setting email aliases
  • Establishing guest accounts (open access computer labs and guest wireless network).
  • Additional network folder/U: drive storage space (quota)
  • Activating personal websites
  • Requesting official websites and additional developers for same

Watch for more information in the next week or so. In the meantime, if you have any questions about what Account Settings will handle, contact your ITC.
