Sequoia Park Zoo Conservation Grant Program ~ Request for Proposals

January 12, 2015

Request for Proposals: Sequoia Park Zoo Conservation Advisory Committee Conservation Grant Program.

Deadline:  January 30, 2015

The Sequoia Park Zoo Foundation and Conservation Advisory Committee are accepting proposals for our third annual Conservation Grant Program.  Proposals should be submitted by individuals or organizations for projects that have a clear direct impact on wildlife and/or habitat conservation.  A variety of projects will be considered including proposals for research, educational programs and habitat management plans.  Support is limited to projects that can be completed within one year and funds will be granted up to $1,000.

This year, we will make a separate additional selection of a local project supporting salmon conservation to commemorate the opening of the new Watershed Heroes exhibit.  Projects may include research or management of local salmon populations, restoration of salmon habitat, or other related subject areas.

Complete proposals must have a cover sheet, two pages of text (maximum) and relevant supporting materials.  Proposals should be submitted via email in single pdf by the January 30 deadline.  Incomplete applications and those exceeding the page limit may not be reviewed.

Our Mission: Sequoia Park Zoo inspires conservation of the natural world by instilling wonder, respect and passion for wildlife. A post-project completion report will be required upon completion of the funded projects. For more information including forms and proposal requirements, see www.sequoiaparkzoo.net.
