Dear Colleagues:

Last month, the HSU community came together to brainstorm about the direction of the University during three Strategic Plan workshops: Increasing Student Success and Academic Excellence, Supporting an Inclusive and Diverse Community, and Ensuring Resources to Fulfill the University’s Mission.

A lot has happened since then. Task forces have reviewed all the feedback from those workshops and drafted recommendations. Based on the recommendations, the Steering Committee has been creating a single draft plan and will present it to the University Senate and campus for feedback early to mid April.

In the meantime, check the Strategic Plan website for transcriptions, video, and photos of the workshops. Results of faculty and student surveys are also available.

It’s an exciting time for HSU. The Strategic Plan is coming together and HSU has an inspired future—one we hope you’ll continue to help us shape.
