Summer and Fall 2016 Book Orders

Greetings HSU Faculty, Staff, and Administrators-

Summer book orders were due March 15th. Fall book orders are due April 8th. Please respond as soon as possible. The University relies on us to post book information for HEOA compliance to retain federal funding. Veterans, scholarship recipients, and students with disabilities also rely on the information we post to be accurate to obtain their course materials. Thank you for helping us remain compliant.

Adoptions can be submitted by contacting the HSU Bookstore Text Office in the following ways:

·         Online: https://humboldt.edu/bookorders/  

·         In Person: Please contact us to schedule an appointment.

·         Email: bookstore@humboldt.edu see submission points below, or use attached form

·         Phone: (707)826-3171

 

EXCEPTIONS:

·         If you are working with a publishing representative on course materials that will not be finalized before the due dates, please notify us and we will remove you from the missing list.

·         If you do not require a book, or any other materials, please inform us - indicate “NO BOOKS REQUIRED”

·         If you require only materials from sources outside the HSU Bookstore, please indicate “NO BOOKSTORE SUPPLIED MATERIALS/SEE INSTRUCTOR”                    

Points for EMAILING your adoptions:

·               Please include the following:

o   Department, course number, and section/CRN # (if known)

o   Estimated enrollment

 

·               Textbook information

o   Author, complete title, and ISBN number (if known)

o   Edition/copyright year, and publisher

o   Indicate REQuired, RECommended, or CHOICE (i.e.: 5th or 6th edition OK)

o   Indicate term use (approximate date or week in semester)

 

·               Custom Course Packs (if relevant)

o   Specify if you will be making revisions to a previous term’s packet

o   Packets containing copyright protected material can take up to 6 weeks for clearance

o   New submissions and revised packets will take 2-3 weeks for production

o   The deadline to submit course pack masters is Friday, April 15th for Summer Term and Friday, July 15th for Fall Term.

 

·               Supplies & Supply Bundles

o   List all Scantrons, calculators, lab supplies, art materials, etc…

o   Specify brand/product names as appropriate

 

·               Technology

o   List all necessary software, hardware, data storage, or electronics

o   Specify brand/product names as appropriate

o   Indicate if you are teaching a “continuation course” if students will already have the materials from a prior term.

o   List any cross listed sections of your course (i.e.: students may register for ENGL xxx or WS xxx – same course)
