Update on Search for Provost

December 10, 2014

Dear Campus Community,

As you may be aware, the campus is in the midst of a recruitment for a new Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs. A search committee, composed of your colleagues, has been working diligently on reviewing files of applicants for this position. The Provost is an essential part of the university leadership team and the committee takes this responsibility seriously.

After telephone interviews are conducted, three to four finalists will be invited to campus for in-person interviews, likely in early February. These visits will include open forums for employees and students and will give the campus community a chance to interact with the candidates.

If you have thoughts to share about this search or about qualities you would like to see in a Provost, you can share them with anyone on the committee (listed below). You can also provide feedback on the Office of the President's feedback page at http://www.humboldt.edu/president/feedback
