Humboldt State University's Police Department provides a safe and secure environment for the Humboldt State community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our professionally trained staff protects life and property. They oversee crime prevention, multi-hazard emergency planning, general security, live scan, and parking administration and enforcement. Duties also include criminal and traffic investigation, law enforcement, escorts of valuables and equipment, reporting of safety hazards, assistance to motorists, and assistance to other law enforcement and social service agencies.

Parking has now moved to Facilities Management, located at Plant Operations (corner of B & 14th Streets). Please contact their office for any Parking issues, including tickets and JackPass.

All personnel are proactive, accessible and accountable representatives of Humboldt State University, as well as active partners with local agencies serving the North Coast. We are leaders
in creating a safe campus, promoting student success,
and educating individuals to be responsible members of society.

Crimes and incidents posing threats to the Campus Community are communicated by way of crime alert bulletins posted throughout the campus, the campus newspaper, the campus-owned radio station, newsletters, and through appropriate meetings. HSUPD is in compliance with The Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990 which requires the disclosure of crime information for the campus.Skip to Navigation
