Manolo Platin Morales, 2005 Politics, recently began a new job. Morales is the vice president for State Government & Industry Affairs with Chubb North America

Benjamin J. Wocken, 2007

Benjamin J. Wocken, 2007 Politics, is currently serving as a Broadcast Journalist with the American Forces Network Europe Headquarters at Sembach, Germany, with the U.S. Air Force. His duties include traveling throughout the European military theater, writing, filming, editing, and producing military news and Command Information media pieces for the American Forces Network television and internet audiences. Wocken was recently named to the Dean’s List during his studies in the Master of Public Affairs program, through the Harry S. Truman School of Public Affairs at the University of Missouri, Columbia.

Katrina "Katie" S. Hagen Radlick, 1994

Katrina “Katie” S. Hagen Radlick, 1994, Politics and French, was appointed by Gov. Brown as the Chief Deputy Director of Operations at the state Dept. of Human Resources in March. Prior to this appointment, Radlick served as the Chief of Human Resources at CalPERS, the California Public Employee Retirement System. She is also an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of San Francisco teaching Human Resource Administration

Carleigh Kude, 2005

Carleigh Kude, 2005, Politics, has been working in advocacy, accessibility and ADA compliance since leaving HSU. Kude earned an Masters of Public Administration from CSU Long Beach in 2014 and was honored to be named on the Dean’s List of Arts and Humanities Scholars. She is currently working at Holy Names University, a diverse, public-service and social justice-oriented private University in Oakland, Calif.

Brynn E. Demei, 2006

Brynn E. Demei, 2006 Politics, now lives in her home country, the beautiful island of the Republic of Palau, where she work as a Commercial Loan Analyst for National Development Bank of Palau (NDBP). Demei will pursue her master’s degree in Public Administration next year, through University of San Diego’s graduate cohort program, while she lives and works in Palau.

Jed Haley-Brooks D’Abravanel, 2007, Politics, is currently attending law school at American University.

Anthony Medrano, 2000

Anthony Medrano, 2000 Politics, worked at Ohio University for a few years and moved back to Hawaii before finally settling down near Lake Mendota, Wis., where he is a doctoral candidate in the Department of History at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Currently, Medrano is several miles away in Malaysian Borneo, conducting dissertation research as a Fulbright fellow. Medrano’s interest in the social history of oceans stems from his formative years at Humboldt and its intellectual ecology.

Heather Frambach, 2009

Heather is currently an urban agriculture planner at the City of Austin, Texas, the Community Outreach Manager for a small East Austin farmers market, and an organizing fellow with Real Food Challenge, a national campaign that organizers for more local and sustainable food on college campuses. She completed her master’s degree in Community & Regional Planning at the University of Texas at Austin in 2012.

Rashad Thomas, 2006

Rashad Thomas c/o 2006 and Imelda Fernandez c/o 2005 had their first child together. A baby girl by the name of Amira Thomas-Fernandaz.

Gabriela Garcia Cruz (2013) is pursuing her master’s degree in international studies at the University of San Francisco.

Morgan Leonard (2014)

Morgan Leonard (2014) is a staff member in Rep. Grace Napolitano’s (CA-32nd) Washington DC office.
