Humboldt Social Work Students & Faculty attend & present at the CalSWEC Summit - April 20, 2018

The 2018 Title IV-E Summit will be held on April 19 and 20, at the San Mateo Marriott. This year’s theme is Intersectionality: Examining Systemic Inequities and Collaborating for Change.  Honorable Judge Abby Abinanti, an enrolled Yurok Tribal member and Chief Judge of the Yurok Tribal Court will deliver the keynote address.  Our own CalSWEC students, Erin Youngblood Smith and Sue Garrett will be presenting, along with Professor Heather Gough, on the following topic: Intersectional Practice with Tribal Communities: Following the Spirit and the Law of the Indian Child Welfare Act.
