I earned a BA in social work from Humboldt State University in 1985 and a MSW from California State University at Long Beach in 1998. I became licensed in clinical social work in 2009.
I have worked with survivors and perpetrators of sexualized violence. I worked for 10 years in a local, non-profit providing crisis support and teaching abuse prevention to children, youth and adults. I currently teach women's self-defense. I have developed curriculum and facilitated groups about healthy relationships, sexuality and parenting. I've worked across the age spectrum with children, youth, families, and seniors. I am passionate about ending oppression of all kinds.
I rejuvenate myself by yoga, hikes, time with my friends and family, banjo and community events.
