I found my way to social work after working for many years on community development projects in rural Nicaragua. I am a graduate of Cal Poly Humboldt’s MSW program (2006), and I have been teaching at Cal Poly Humboldt since January, 2011. As a CalSWEC student, I have experience working in child welfare services. Currently, I teach practicum education in addition to working in the community. I am interested in promoting bilingual social work and providing support to students who would like to utilize their language skills in their social work practice.
