Intersectional Analysis is Imperative for Social Justice

Well, here’s your chance! Even if you have no experience hosting a workshop we invite you to submit a proposal for this year’s Social Justice Summit.
The 2015 summit organizers are looking for dynamic, interactive workshops for this year’s Social Justice Summit. The workshops will be divided into either:
Education/Knowledge Share workshops, where we will work together to identify and educate ourselves about important issues that are affecting our communities and what we can do to bring about change.
Art Activism/Skill Share workshops where Artist/Activist will share and teach us their skills to provide us with powerful tools that we can use to spread awareness and encourage social change.
Workshops are 1.5 hours in length and are a lecture or discussion pertaining to the theme of the Summit. Here are ideas/guidelines for workshop proposals:
Workshops are 3 hours or 1.5 hours in length and go beyond discussion by sharing skills and techniques involved in direct action. Here are ideas/guidelines for workshop proposal:
We highly recommend that your workshop title be “catchy”. Please fill out the Proposal form and submit online or send a hard copy to the MCC—1 Harpst Street, Arcata, CA 95521. Deadline for workshop proposals is Friday, February 6, 2015 at 5:00 PM. Acceptance notifications will be sent out via email by Friday, February 13, 2015.
