Discussion on Outcome Theme: What every Humboldt graduate should demonstrate

  • Demonstrate balance of academic success along with extracurricular involvement towards service to the community.
  • Demonstrate leadership, interpersonal skills, civility, and respect in working with people, inclusive of all of our diversity.
  • Exhibit responsible behavior in planning and decision making, taking responsibility for outcomes and behavior.
  • Develop confidence and maturity to affect change in their world.
  • Social and environmental justice: awareness and knowledge of societal oppression, and take action to become change agents.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking in the ability to communicate, in particular, in writing.
  • Demonstrates self awareness and an introspective capability.
  • Demonstrates attainment of a liberal education, exhibiting broad knowledge across disciplines.
  • Is prepared for the next step in life.

Suggested modifications to the list of educational outcomes:
