Program Mission
North Coast Music Mentors share their musical knowledge and passion for music with children by providing free, quality music instruction to local children, grades K-12, who show a financial need and desire to learn. NCMM believes that every child should be given the opportunity to explore music as a means of self-discovery and self-expression.
Service, Goals & Projects
North Coast Music Mentors currently works with elementary aged children at Arcata Elementary School. Service involves providing group lessons to children who are eager to learn more about all aspects of music.
Upcoming Events or Activities
NCMM program is always looking to acquire instruments that community members may no longer use or need so these instruments could be passed on to the children hoping to acquire their own instruments. Anyone who could contribute to this worthy cause is asked to phone the Y.E.S. House with information about their donation.
