Argumentation and Critical Thinking Tutorial

This site is intended to help students in college level critical thinking classes learn some of the basic concepts of the formal logical structure of arguments and informal fallacies.

You'll find that the tutorial tests in this site are rather plain. There aren't fancy graphics or pictures on any of the pages. That was done intentionally so the pages will come up quickly when you take the tests and you don't have to spend a lot of time waiting for the next page.

The material in this site was developed by Jay VerLinden , professor of Communication at Humboldt State University.

The construction of this site is the result of a sabbatical leave granted by Humboldt State University for the Fall 1998 semester.
