Psychology Professor Amber Gaffney has been chosen as Humboldt State University’s Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR).
The FAR plays a critical role in ensuring academic integrity, student-athlete well-being. Dr. Gaffney replaces Dr. Mary Glenn, who did an excellent job serving as FAR and supporting HSU student-athletes and programs.
Humboldt State University’s new Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing program (RN to BSN) received the green light from WASC Senior College & University Commission, the University’s regional accrediting body. HSU is now working on enrolling students and the first cohort of the program is on track to start in Fall 2020.

Dr. Ray Chaudhury is excited to share the successful presentation and publication in proceedings in the Society for Marketing Advances conference in November 2019 of her research project on teen climate activist Greta Thunberg’s FridaysforFuture climate strike efforts and its worldwide impact. The Office of Research & Sponsored Programs is requesting applications for assigned time funding for the fall 2020 and spring 2021 semesters. In addition to assigned time we are also extending funding for summer salary/overload pay during the summer 2020 session.
