Water is Life

HSU Campus
You are invited to attend the Water Is Life gathering in the Kate Buchanan Room on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 12:00 - 6:00 pm.

Tribal leaders, university students and faculty, and community members will gather to discuss our common responsibility for protecting water in Northern California. We will provide a space for our community to find common ground so that we can work together to protect the waters of Northern California, including support for removing Klamath River dams and opposing any future plan to construct a LNG pipeline beneath the Klamath River.

Indigenous speakers and panelists will relate water, fisheries, and ecological integrity to human rights, women's issues, social justice, environmental protection, U.S. treaty obligations under international and domestic law, and federal agency accountability.

We welcome you to join us for this afternoon of community dialogue about responsibilities, relationships, and solidarity. You can learn more about the event

This event is made possible through an Associated Students cultural programming grant and hosted by the Environment & Community Club and the Indian Natural Resources Science & Engineering Club.
