Using SFTP with Network Folders

SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) is the preferred way to move files securely to and from University servers when you’re off-campus. Depending on which operating system you use, you may need to install special SFTP software. Click the appropriate link under How to Connect below to determine the requirements for your system.

How to connect

Use your SFTP client of choice to connect to users.humboldt.edu using your Humboldt User Name and Password.  Click the appropriate link below for instructions on how to connect to Network Folders from your system.

If you experience any problems using SFTP to move files, contact the Technology Help Desk at x4357, submit a support request, or stop by Library 101.
