Can the Technology Help Desk technician see everything that's on my machine?

Yes, but you always have the opportunity to end the remote QuickSupport session. While the technician has control of your computer, a small window with the technician's name and phone number is displayed on the screen; you can terminate the session by simply closing this window. However, you should bear in mind that the technician may not be able to diagnose and solve your problem if s/he does not have full access to your machine; they are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as all Humboldt State University employees.
