Server Maintenance Schedules

ITS reserves specific time windows for the maintenance of individual servers in the central computing system. The table below shows the normal maintenance window for each system.

Note: Not all systems will be unavailable for the entire maintenance window; more exact estimates are posted to the System Status report.

If you anticipate any problems with these routine maintenance windows, please contact help@humboldt.edu with your questions. Adjustments can sometimes be made to the maintenance times to accommodate scheduling conflicts.

System Routine Service Schedule
Campus Servers and Services (unless otherwise noted below) Third Sunday of every month 5:01 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Some service outages may be scheduled Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30-7:00 p.m.

Campus Solutions* Every Wednesday 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Faculty and Student Center* Every Wednesday 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Human Resources* Every Wednesday 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Common Financial System* Varies
Campus Data Warehouse (OBI) Nightly 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and
the third Sunday of each month 5:01 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Shibboleth Single Sign-On (affected applications) Weekly on Tuesday and Thursday 5:00 a.m. to 5:15 a.m.
Moodle Rebooted 4:50 a.m. every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday

 *These systems may also be unavailable during the Chancellor's Office's regular maintenance windows - between 9:00pm Saturday evenings and 6:00am Sunday mornings.

 

Exceptions for 2017

To avoid peak business cycles:

  • January maintenance takes place on 22nd
  • June maintenance takes place on the 25th
  • August maintenance takes place on the 13th

No maintenance windows are scheduled for December.
