Every telephone extension at HSU has an associated voicemail account. The voicemail system offers a comprehensive range of functions to help you make the most effective use of the telephone system:

  • Change passwords
  • Record greetings
  • Access, review, forward, record and send messages
  • Create and store distribution lists
Your HSU voicemail is accessible from on or off campus, and your account is active for as long as you remain associated with HSU.

Accessing This Service

You will be provided with a temporary voicemail password with your telephone when you first become associated with HSU. You should change your password as soon as possible to a string of characters that is simple for you to remember but hard for others to guess.

The HSU voicemail system offers a wide range of features. To help you set it up to meet your needs, please consult the appropriate documents from the following list:

  • Greetings suggestions provides advice and suggestions for setting up your voice mail greeting for everyday use and for periods of extended absence ("out-of-office" greetings) such as those times when the campus is closed or you are on vacation or sabbatical.
