Say Goodbye to the Moodle Button

September 7, 2017

Now that Canvas is the sole supported Learning Management System on campus for all active courses, the Moodle button will be removed from the top right corner of myHumboldt, effective Thursday, September 7.

So, if you still have course content, course materials, documentation or other information you need to access, you’ll need to get them out of Moodle before that date. After September 7, faculty and staff will still be able to retrieve materials from an old Moodle course via the Moodlepagelet on the Faculty/Staff Resources page; for materials from courses dating back to before 2015, you’ll need to submit a Technology Help Desk ticket. Students will need to use a special link to retrieve their Moodle files.

In December, all the Moodle Learn servers will be placed in archive mode, which means that anyone wanting to retrieve information will need to submit a Technology Help Desk Ticket.
