Sequoia Park Zoo Conservation Lecture ~ November 8

Hello Friends, Colleagues, Students and Community Members,

Today we are pleased to welcome Colin Anderson of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and HSU to talk about monitoring of our local salmon.  This talk will be held at the Sequoia Park Zoo and is open and free to the public.

The Sequoia Park Zoo Conservation Lecture Series continues with a lecture on November 8, 2017, “Monitoring Salmon Movements Through Freshwater Creek” by Colin Anderson of California Department of Fish and Wildlife. His lecture will include a brief overview of freshwater fish habitat in Humboldt Bay and Freshwater Creek. He’ll discuss techniques used to monitor the juvenile and adult population of salmon in Freshwater Creek. The lecture will be held in the Zoo’s Flamingo Room at 7:00 PM and preceded by a reception at 6:30 PM.
