Upcoming Fire Evacuation Drills

April 14, 2017

Beginning the week of 4/17, several fire evacuation drills will be taking place across campus. You may see/hear ringing fire alarms and witness large groups of people congregating near these buildings. If you are present in a building when an alarm goes off, whether it's a drill or a real event, please comply by evacuating the building in a prompt manner.

HSU's Building Evacuation Teams (BETs), identified by their orange/yellow safety vests, assist in the evacuation of buildings. They will direct you to the appropriate Rally Point or Emergency Assembly Point at the time of the evacuation. Once the building has been vacated, they will let building occupants know when the drill has been completed and building occupants may return. These drills should last no more than approximately 10 minutes.
